It is the mission of the Sauk City Historic Preservation Committee that the preservation of Sauk City's past will create a strong civic pride in our community by its citizens that will benefit our community economically through the attraction of tourists to our river town community thereby promoting growth in business and other future developments. The Wisconsin River is the Gateway to Sauk City. In 2004, Sauk City will be celebrating its 150th birthday as the oldest incorporated village in the State of Wisconsin. Our history is the key to Sauk City's future.
