| It is the mission of the Sauk
City Historic Preservation Committee that the preservation of Sauk
City's past will create a strong civic pride in our community by its
citizens that will benefit our community economically through the
attraction of tourists to our river town community thereby promoting
growth in business and other future developments. The Wisconsin River
is the Gateway to Sauk City. In 2004, Sauk City celebrated
its 150th birthday as the oldest incorporated village in the State
of Wisconsin. Our history is the key to Sauk City's future. |
