| Compost and Brush Pickup | ||||
| Compost will be picked up every Monday. If a holiday falls on a Monday, the compost will be picked up on Tuesday. Compost consists of yard clippings and garden waste. All compost shall be bagged and placed on the tree bank by 7:00 AM and shall not weigh more than 40 pounds. | ||||
| Brush will be picked up every Thursday. Brush must be piled neatly with all ends placed toward the curb. Brush must be cut no larger than 8 foot lengths and no larger than 3 inches in diameter. Place brush on the tree bank by 7:00 AM. | ||||
| Residents who hire a contactor to cut their trees are responsible for their own removal. | ||||
| Residents who wish to haul their own compost may do so on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. | ||||
| The Village has wood chips available at no cost and you must haul the chips yourself. Contact the Village Office for more information. | ||||

| Trash is picked up every Tuesday and Recycling is picked up every Thursday. Containers shall be placed at the curb or alley the night before or prior to 6:00 AM the morning of your pickup. | ||||
| Contact Mike's Disposal 643-8760 for the pick up of any furniture, appliances or larger items. The Contractor shall be allowed an additional charge of $5.00 per item, but not to exceed $10.00 and shall be paid for prior to the pickup. Any item with Freon Must Have a certificate of removal prior to pickup. | ||||

| Please be sure your house number is visible from the street. We are requesting that they be 3 inches or larger. This will help to expedite the ambulance or any other emergency vehicles. | ||||
| Sidewalks | ||||
| The Village of Sauk City has an ordinance which requires ALL sidewalks be cleared of snow or ice within 12 hours. If walks are not cleared within the specified period, the Village is authorized to and WILL clear all uncleared sidewalks. The cost of this work will be charged against the property and, if not paid, will be assessed to the following years property tax bill. | ||||
| Parking | ||||
| The Village of Sauk City's snow ordinance requires that ALL vehicles be OFF the streets immediately following or during a snowfall of 2 inches or greater to allow for snow plowing. This parking restriction remains in effect for 48 hours after the snow has stopped OR until the streets are cleared. Snow parking tickets are a fee of $20.00. | ||||
| Cat and Dog Licenses - May 9, 2006 | ||||
| Cat and Dog licenses can be purchased at the Village Hall, 726 Water Street, Sauk City. Please bring proof of rabies certification or we are unable to issue you a license. Licenses are due on or before April 1st of each year. Fees: Male/Female - $15.00 and Neutered/Spayed - $10.00. Late Fee - $5.00 after April 1. | ||||
