Open Book is July 11th (3:00-5:00pm) & Board of Review is July 18th (3:00-5:00pm)
The 2023 Open Book will be held on Tuesday July 11th from 3:00-5:00pm at the Sauk City Village Hall at 726 Water Street, in the lower level. (You will need to come around to the back of the building and enter through the riverside door right off the parking lot.) The assessment roll will be open for examination and you will have the opportunity to meet with the assessor. Before coming to Open Book, you should first contact the assessor (Eric Kleven) at 715-529-1032 and attempt to resolve differences of opinion regarding your assessment. If you still have an interest in appealing your 2023 assessment after speaking with the assessor, then you should plan on coming to Open Book to meet with him in-person.
The 2023 Board of Review will be held on July 18th from 3:00-5:00pm at the Village Hall. There are required procedures to follow in order to appear at Board of Review so please see the full notice here and contact the Village Hall with any questions. The Board of Review would be for anyone interested in appealing their 2023 assessment if they were not able to resolve their differences with the assessor at Open Book.
